The Houghton Project – High Sheriff Fund

I am writing to extend our sincere thanks, on behalf of everyone at The Houghton Project, for the award of the Community Foundation grant.

As you know, Houghton provides an important space where people can come together to help us run the farm, take part in rural activities, learn new skills, develop shared interests, meet new people and, most importantly, feel part of a community.

We are keen to continue building on this and have been speaking with everyone involved about their ideas and suggestions for the future. Some of these include creating natural art features throughout our gardens and woodland, as well as improving our wood workshop to create new spaces for art, creativity and learning.

Thanks to your generous grant, we can now begin making these ideas a reality. Your support is a fantastic boost for the project and will help everyone involved to develop these and many other ideas in the future.

We are incredibly grateful for your support and for helping us to create more opportunities for people to connect, learn, create and feel a valued part of the Houghton community.
