We’ve reached an £8 Million Milestone in Local Grant Giving

We’re proud to announce a major milestone in our mission to support vulnerable and disadvantaged communities across the county.
Since we were founded in 2002, HCF has now awarded over £8 million in grants, empowering hundreds of local voluntary and community organisations to help tackle issues such as rural isolation, poverty, flooding, supporting young people, and improving mental health and wellbeing. In total, an impressive 4,476 grants have been given out to individuals and organisations over this time.
As a trusted grant-making charity, we connect local donors with causes that matter. With deep insight into the challenges facing Herefordshire, the Foundation ensures that funding is directed where it is most needed.
Our CEO Bridie Sullivan explained:
“We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone. Every pound awarded reflects a shared commitment between generous donors who believe in giving back to their local community, and the grassroots organisations working tirelessly to support those who need it most.”
Our Chairman, Frank Myers, reflected that “reaching this milestone is a testament to the huge amount of teamwork and effort across the county, and is something in which we can all have great pride.”
