Community Warm Space Grants

We offer grants for community projects which provide space for local residents to keep warm and this can connect them with others, reduce their isolation, receive support.

We welcome applications from community projects across Herefordshire. Your group does not have to be a registered charity but must have a social purpose or charitable aims. We expect an organisation to have the following:

  • A written constitution or set of rules that specifies the organisation’s purpose and how it is managed.
  • A list of those involved in running the organisation, including trustees if appropriate.
  • A copy of your most up-to-date annual accounts or financial records showing the balance of funds, income and expenditure. If you do not have financial records that cover a full year you will need to provide current financial records.
  • A bank account in the name of the organisation with at least two signatories and bank statements. Alternatively, if you are small group without a bank account, another charitable organisation could look after the funds for you. You must provide written authorisation from the organisation that will do this.
  • A safeguarding policy if your organisation works directly with children or vulnerable adults.
  • An equal opportunities policy if your organisation employs staff.

  • Grants are up to £5,000. Only one grant will be awarded per organisation each year.
