Community Chest Fund Open for Applications!
Supported by the Business for Good Fund

Herefordshire Community Foundation (HCF) has launched the Community Chest Fund, offering grants of up to £2,000 to support community-based projects across the county. Applications open today, with funding available to local charities, community organisations and clubs aiming to improve the quality of life for Herefordshire residents.
The Fund is backed by the Business for Good Club, a group of Herefordshire-based businesses committed to giving back to their local area. The initiative was developed in response to business leaders seeking a simple and effective way to make a real, positive difference within the County.
Bride Sullivan, CEO of Herefordshire Community Foundation explained
“The business community have been telling us that they wanted an easy way to manage their charitable giving, safe in the knowledge that it will be directed to causes that matter. Businesses told us they wanted to support local solutions to meet local needs.
We are delighted to confirm that the first round of funding is now open for applications. HCF have supported a diverse range of projects in the past, and we are excited to see what proposals are submitted for this first round.”
Organisations are encouraged to apply early, as the Fund may close before the deadline of Friday, 12th December 2025 if it becomes oversubscribed. A panel -including members of the Business for Good Club – will review applications in January 2026, with successful applicants given one year to deliver their projects.
